What is life coaching?

This all depends on the individual. But it can be:

Structuring your life and home to become more holy, happy and healthy
Guiding you on how to become more effective in your business
Helping you communicate to those significant people in your life
Helping you discover solutions to crisis situations
Helping you learn methods of self control and anger management
Helping you to find inner peace
Helping you to deepen your spirituality

During a typical coaching session you will find your coach

Train you in life tools that can greatly increase your effectiveness
Listening to what you say, what you are trying to say, and what you are not saying
Questioning you to clarify what you meant and help you to see more clearly what you mean. These questions will also be used to help lead you to the answers some part of your soul already knows.
Sharing advice, ideas, comments, and new perspective on your situation, dilemma, or opportunity
Provide spiritual direction to help you deepen your knowledge of God and yourself
Suggest a plan of action to take and activities which may help you find healing and health in your life and relationships
Helping to develop a “life map” so that you can see where you have been, where you are, and where you want to go.

We have integrated spiritual direction and pastoral care into our life coaching. This means that there is an attempt to see God being active in the life of each client. The perspective is always one that is biblical and Christian as well as practical.

Confidentiality

Everything shared with your life coach is confidential. Life coaches do not gossip. Every effort will be taken to ensure that what you say in private stays in private. Your life coach is operating as a spiritual director and pastoral guide to you and therefore the highest levels of confidentiality are given to our clients.

The one limitation to this confidentiality would be in the event that you are a threat to yourself or others. This would include any indication that you are being abusive to those under 18.
